The game of Count Your Diamonds Poker is played in the following manner:

1. The game of Count Your Diamonds Poker is especially suited for poker players who fall between the ‘not too formal’ to ‘somewhat serious’ category of players. This game is not suited for those who get irritated with games that have numerous wild cards or divided pots. The game allows a maximum of seven players to play at one time. The best number of players for this game is five to seven.

2. Two cards must be handed to every participant in the face down position long with one card being dealt to each participant in the face up position. Every participant can look at their own three cards. However, the two cards which were dealt face down must be kept in the face down position so nobody else gets a look at them. Every participant must be aware of the fact that the pot will be split equally, with one part going to the high hand winner and the other part going to the participant with the highest diamonds face value out of all their hole cards.

3. Carry out the first round of betting. The participant with the highest card in the face up position will start the betting.

4. Every participant should be given a card in the face up position. Another round of betting should be carried out where the participant with the best hand of face up cards should begin the betting.

5. The above mentioned step should be carried out twice more after which a fourth round of betting should take place.

6. Every active participant should be given the last card in the face down position. The last round of betting should now take place.

7. All the cards and hands should be placed in the open for all participants to see. The one with the best hand gets one half of the pot.

8. The one who wins the remaining pot amount is the participant with the highest diamonds face value out of all their hole cards.
