Allen Carter Signs Up with UltimateBet
Allen Carter, better known among the online poker community as AawwNutz recently completed the signing up for UltimateBet. Allen, who won the World Poker Tour’s (WPT) Southern Poker Championship, is regarded as one of the best players.
It is, however, not clear if Allen will become a part of UltimateBet’s star team or just be a professional sponsored in online and live tournaments. Allen has proved his talents in online as well as live poker arenas. His WPT victory amounted to a million dollars. The event finished last weekend.
Back in June 2008, Carter had managed to get the attention of UltimateBet officials after he won the online poker room’s main weekly tournament. It had an assured prize pool of $200,000. Carter managed to take away $45,000 for all the trouble he went through. The event regularly sees an overlay meaning, the prize pool goes beyond the stipulated amount. Earlier in January, Allen was able to finish third and take away an amount of $15,000 in a $50,000 Guaranteed hosted by Full Tilt Poker.
Presently, Ultimate Bet’s Star Players Team comprises of blackjack guru ‘Hollywood’ Dave Stann, Tracy Scala winner of ‘Best Damn Poker Show’, Tiffany Michelle, online poker genius James ‘P0KERPR033’ Campbell. Late last year, WSOP Bracelet Winner Cliff ‘JohnnyBax’ Josephy, left the company.
