Bwin Launches Poker On www.bwin.it
Bwin added an online poker section to its Italian website www.bwin.it on 19th October. The P5 Poker Engine developed by Ongame Network also was launched along with it. The new P5 poker engine is also the core system that drives the poker platform. The new engine is expected to bring about dramatic improvements in the company’s online poker platform and also alter the way online poker is played.
The launch will also trigger Ongame’s Network capacity which will now be able to accommodate as many as 200,000 concurrent users. Norbert Teufelberger, Co-CEO of Bwin said that P5 symbolized a significant investment and was an in-house development at B2B Company Ongame Network. He also spoke about the decision to make necessary changes in the core of the game. P5, he said is a represents the shift in mentality and a shift in technology.
The new P5 Poker Engine is modular in its design and most importantly, it provides scalability without causing any risks to stability. The most significant feature of the new engine is that codes can be hot-deployed thereby permitting round-the-clock operations without being shut down for the sake of maintenance or upgrading.
Co-CEO, Manfred Bodner expressed confidence about the fact that consumers in Italy would welcome the development. This was possible only because of the recent change made in Italian laws that permitted the introduction of poker on www.bwin.it. He also said that no other product can offer customers reliability and speed with great graphics and usability.
Bwin’s Italian customers would be the first ones to reap the benefits of new game clients that give a very sleek and intuitive gaming experience.
