JC Tran Dominant at PartyPoker.com Premier League
JC Tran, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Ambassador continued to dominate PartyPoker.com’s Premier League III. He continued his excellent run after his victory in the first two heats and a second position in the third one. Tran is happily sitting on the summit of the points table with 26 points.
Tran is also a representative of Team PKR and scored his first victory on the first day of the event after he was able to win the first heat against World Champion Peter Eastgate. Since then, Tran has been able to continue his solid run. Tran got a lot of support and was cheered throughout his effort to win. The game escalated to a heads-up and Tran held 476,000 to Vicky Coren’s 124,000. JC seemed destined to win all the way. The decisive hand witnessed a raise by Tran with an A6 off-suit. Coren on the other hand, pushed all-in with KK. An ace on the flop did the trick.
JC said that it has really been going very well in London and was contemplating a move to London. On his victory, Tran said that he was happy that he got back in the heads-up and was confident about finding a way back as there was still a lot to be played for. He expressed disappointment over not being able to win the heat but was very happy about having secured the top spot in the table.
In PartyPoker.com’s Premier League III, the buy-in is furthered to $75,000 and the added money is augmented to $350,000. It takes the total prize pool to $1.25 million. The series will have 12 of the world’s best players battling it out to secure a share of the colossal prize pool, in an exceptional league format.
